MY STORY
Scarlett Kirwan is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from South Yorkshire, currently studying Music at the University of Sheffield. Blending honest storytelling with memorable melodies, her music sits between indie-pop, folk and pop-rock, drawing inspiration from artists including Maisie Peters, Olivia Rodrigo, Fleetwood Mac, Florence + The Machine and Joni Mitchell.
Having picked up a guitar at the age of 11, Scarlett quickly discovered a passion for songwriting and live performance. Since then, she has performed at festivals, music venues and bars across Yorkshire and beyond, building a reputation for engaging live shows that combine original music with carefully chosen covers.
Scarlett's songwriting explores the realities of growing up, relationships, identity and the moments that shape us. Combining conversational lyrics with guitar-led production, her songs are rooted in authenticity, balancing humour, vulnerability and optimism in equal measure.
In 2024, Scarlett released her debut EP, Glow, followed by a series of standalone singles, including Supersonic Girl. She continues to write and record new music while performing regularly across the UK, with new releases and live shows planned throughout the coming year.
Whether on stage or in the studio, Scarlett's focus remains the same: creating music that feels honest, relatable and built to last.
